3) Pourquoi Rosa Parks a été arrêtée (Pourquoi a-t-elle refusé d'obéir à la loi)? (3 phrases).
4) Expliquer la situation du boycotte (Pourquoi, comment, les conséquences pour les Noirs/les Blancs, comment ça s'est terminé et pourquoi).
5) Le rôle a joué MLK dans cet événement.
6) le vocabulaire pour parler de tout ça.

CC: Finish the book on Rosa Parks + complete the booklet. It is important to read well enough to be able to retell the story. Learn the vocabulary p. 14 (spelling and meaning).

Ecrit: Write the first version of your essay comparing your academic experience (so far) with the one of your grandparents or parents. Make sure to organize the information you collect by categories (discipline, subjects, class length, teachers, methodologies, homework, grading, etc...) and also organize your notes by similarities and differences.  It is important to carefully proof-read your text (agreements of verbs / adjectives / gender / conjugations / spelling).

Ecrit: Relire le texte Ours noir ou grizzli - Poser 8 questions de compréhension sur le texte + écrire les réponses sur le dos de la feuille. Chercher 5 mots de vocabulaire + donner la définition et la traduction (faire un dessin = option).

Géographie: Ecris une page d’introduction pour ce cours en faisant la liste de ce qu’on peut apprendre dans un cours de géographie (comme on a fait en classe). Pour chaque catégorie, donne 1 exemple avec de bonnes indications.

Ex.  1- Le relief : Le Mont Bachelor se trouve en Oregon et a une altitude de 2 764 m.

       2- Les cours d’eau et plans d’eau (rivières, fleuves, lacs, mers et océans) – Le Mississippi est long de 3 780 km et se trouve aux Etats-Unis, il traverse plusieurs états et se jette dans le golfe du Mexique.

CC: Review the conjugation of verbs "pouvoir, vouloir, devoir" + do exercises 1, 2, 3 p. 2-3 (Packet GROAN).

Ecrit: Listen to the CD and read along your book and write a summary of 100-150 words. Choose 10 words that are new to you or not too familiar. Write the nature of each word (nom, verbe, adjectif, adverbe) and write a definition (you can also add a translation). Remember, verbs need to be listed in the infinitive form. This assignment is due Monday 10th (however, you can turn it in as soon as you are done).

• Devoirs pour lundi 26 novembre: Create a journal with the 4 or 5 letters you wrote. Add a cover, a back and a few item to make the journal more interesting. Idem could be a picture of the boat you took to cross the Atlantique, a map to show the road you took, your passport, etc....

Conte: Do drawings for your story if necessary.

Ecrit: Work on letter 4 - Make sure to write your letter at a time when your character would have been able to experience a nice chunk of American culture (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, 4th of July). Have fun!

Ecrit: Make sure that your letters 1 and 2 are corrected and edited the best you can - Again, read several times your work, each time for a different purpose. Address all red lines - some are unjustified (meaning that the computer is not recognizing a word that actually exists). Again: to those who have not submitted letter 3, work on it!

CC - Immigration: Make sure letter 1 is done - Proof read it to the best of your abilities making sure that spelling is correct (no red lines), verbs are correctly conjugated and agree with its subject.  Also make sure that you included enough information for the 1st letter, but did not reveal too much information for the 1st letter.
