Devoirs pour lundi 26 novembre: Create a journal with the 4 or 5 letters you wrote. Add a cover, a back and a few item to make the journal more interesting. Idem could be a picture of the boat you took to cross the Atlantique, a map to show the road you took, your passport, etc....

Conte: Do drawings for your story if necessary.

Ecrit: Work on letter 4 - Make sure to write your letter at a time when your character would have been able to experience a nice chunk of American culture (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, 4th of July). Have fun!

CC: Grammaire: Review conjugation of verbs p. 4 & 5 + finish all exercises on these pages. Review the conjugation of verb PRENDRE p. 3 and verbs in the same family (apprendre, comprendre, entreprendre, surprendre).

Ecrit: Make sure that your letters 1 and 2 are corrected and edited the best you can - Again, read several times your work, each time for a different purpose. Address all red lines - some are unjustified (meaning that the computer is not recognizing a word that actually exists). Again: to those who have not submitted letter 3, work on it!

CC - Immigration: Make sure letter 1 is done - Proof read it to the best of your abilities making sure that spelling is correct (no red lines), verbs are correctly conjugated and agree with its subject.  Also make sure that you included enough information for the 1st letter, but did not reveal too much information for the 1st letter. 
Grammaire: Study present of -ER verbs p. 22 + do ex. 1, 2, 3, 4 p. 23.

Letters from Rifka: Read to page 125 + answer questions in the little booklet.

Contes: Your Amerindian story (version 1) should be done + you need to do 2 illustrations each minimum.

CC: Read L'immigration p. 4 + p. 1 - Answer questions 1 to 8 p. 1 + 16 to 18 p. 2

Contes: Do one neat illustration for your story (color, white paper, details).
 
Devoirs pour mardi 23 octobre:
CC: Read L'immigration p. 3 + 1st ¶ p. 4 (....des géants économiques du monde.) - Answer questions 9 to 15. Make sure to bring your composition about your family.

Ecrit: Read Letters from Rifka to at least p. 50. Make sure to take notes on your little booklet (in French). Also, take notes (in your cahier perhaps) on how the author shows to us the fact that Rifka is Jewish, Rifka's personality and aptitudes, the fact that she discovers new things.

CC: Write a composition to describe your family - Use the format proposed on p. 21 of cahier 2 - Grade will reflect your aptitude to agree adjectives, use material presented in class and present accurately and interestingly your family. You can write on Google Docs, type or hand write your composition. It is important that you give me enough space for my comments.

Contes: Continue working on your story: look for vocabulary, find good actions to show your character's personality, find info for the culture of your tribe. If you work with a partner, use Google Docs.
