Devoirs pour jeudi 30 octobre et vendredi 1 novembre:
CC + Ecrit: Work on completing letter 1 (due on Friday at the end of 1st period). We will switch day with Contes et Légendes to get the project going. Make sure to use the information you came up with today + reported on p. 2 of the packet "Lettres". On page 4, you will find useful vocabulary words and on p. 6 a template for your letter. You don't have to use this template, it is just a place to jot down notes on what you have in each of your paragraphs. The letters are in French.

Devoirs pour mercredi 30 octobre:
CC: Do ex. 176 + 176 (conjugation present tense).

Ecrit: Complete your character p. 2 of packet "Letters" + read information p. 1 that are relevant to your situation.  Read Letters from Rifka to at least p. 65 and on + answer questions p. 5 and 6.

Devoirs pour mardi 29 octobre:
CC: Learn the rules of present + pronominal verbs p. 22 et 24 + faire les ex. p. 23 + 173 à 175

Conte: You need to be done with your illustrations or your selections of pictures if this is the format you chose.

Devoirs pour lundi 28 octobre:
CC: Finish questions about the Pushes and the Pulls - Texts p. 2 and 3 / questions p. 1 and 2. Color the map p. 7 (I believe, I left my packet at school). You were given a color code per wave of immigration. Grande-Bretagne year is yellow / Russia is red / Italy' year is green / Ireland year is orange and France's year is blue.

Ecrit: Read Letters from Rifka to at least p. 65 + answer questions p. 3 and 4.

CC: Vocabulaire: Learn all the expressions with "avoir" p. 19 et 20 - Contrôle

Conte: Print your final copy + draw at least 2 scenes (you should have now 6 to 8 scenes drawn between partners). 

Devoirs pour mercredi 22 octobre:
CC: Grammaire / vocabulaire: Learn all the expressions with "avoir" p. 19 et 20 - Complete all exercises p. 20 (we did 19 in class)

Ecrit: You need to turn in your essay on The Education of Little Tree along with the yellow sheet.


Devoirs pour mardi 21 octobre:
CC: Grammar: Use vocabulary p. 17 to write the description of 2 family members (1 paragraph for each). Use tips and suggestions p. 21

Conte: Draw at least 2 scenes of your story - Your story should be done and ready to be printed (we will go through a revision session first). 

Devoirs pour lundi 20 octobre:
CC: Grammar: Study vocabulary for physical descriptions + finish p. 17 and do ex. p. 18.

Ecrit: You should be almost done with your essay on The Education of Little Tree - We will have 1 more class period to finish it.

Ecrit: Work on your paper for The Education of Little Tree.  

• Devoirs pour mercredi 16 octobre:
CC: Study the rules of plural p. 8 + do all ex. p. 9

Contes et légendes: Work on your story. Your first draft should be done by Wednesday. Please try to open a GoogleDocs using your gmail account or the 4j if it finally works.
 
• Devoirs pour mardi 15 octobre:
CC: Study the vocab p. 11 + be ready for our vocab test. If you didn't finish the question about the cartoon p. 12, so so. I will collect the packet on Les Amérindiens. 

Ecrit: work on your paper for The Education of Little Tree. Choose the three values you want to work on + find adequate quotes / parts of the book that will help you show how Little Tree is taught these values, or how he practice them. Try to set up a Google Docs account, either through 4j (Roosevelt web site), or through your gmail account.

CC: Learn vocab p. 9 lists 3 to 5 (review lists 1 and 2) - Do "mots-croisés" p. 12.

Contes: Write your paragraph(s) presenting the initial situation of your story (characters, setting, plot).
 
Devoirs pour mardi 8 octobre:
CC: Read Les Amérindiens p. 11 et 12 + answer questions 12 to 16 p. 8 - Make connections between the text and The Education of Little Tree. Start learning the vocab p. 9 (booklet of questions) lists 1 and 2 (une maladie.....trahir).

Ecrit: Read The Education of Little Tree to chapter 16 - As you read, think of the writing assignment regarding this book. Take notes if you find relevant passages.
